Mrs. Adji Sokhna M’Baye now holds the reins of the position of Managing Director of Securitization at the West African Development Bank (BOAD) in her hands. An appointment made public on June 13, 2022 by Serge Ekué, the president of this West African institution.
“Financing mechanisms call for more and more technical skills and compliance with international standards, and therefore require new, equipped and experienced expertise. I am delighted to have been able to convince Ms. Mbaye to join us at BOAD Securitization and very happy to welcome her among us”. It is in these terms that the Chairman of the West African Development Bank (BOAD) and the Board of Directors of BOAD Titrisation SA, Serge Ekué, announced the appointment of Mrs. Adji Sokhna M’Baye.
Intervened on April 4, 2022, it was made public on June 13, 2022. For her part, Mrs. Adji Sokhna M'Baye indicated, shortly after her appointment, that: "President Ekué's proposal and ambitions for BOAD Securitization convinced me to stay by his side and with all the teams to take up the challenge of making securitization a pivotal mechanism for structured development financing. I will dedicate all my energy and enthusiasm to this mission”.
The new CEO has several degrees, including from the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Cachan, the Ecole de Mines de Paris, the Universities of Paris VII (Diderot) and Paris VI (Pierre and Marie Curie). She also holds a Certificate in Negotiation and Leadership from Harvard Business School.
After a career that began at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Paris within the quantitative analysis team, she joined the Natixis group in 2011 in Paris, then in Hong Kong, as a derivatives specialist. Her career is enriched by her experiences at Citigroup London and New York where she officiated successively as Market Quant, then Head of Systematic Indices. And, in 2019, she joined Morgan Stanley and became Executive Director of Systematic Indices.
"With more than ten years of experience in the fields of Banking, Finance and Financial Markets, in particular structured financing and systematic strategies, the new Director of BOAD Securitization, will have as main missions, to manage the Debt Securitization Commons (FCTC) of the UEMOA space under the authority of the Board of Directors of BOAD Securitization,” said BOAD on its official website.
