TRANSPORT/Togo: Liz Aviation is launching the Lomé-Niamtougou line on July 5th.

The Liz Aviation company is preparing to launch the Lomé-Niamtougou line, a domestic link in Togo, on July 5, 2023, less than a month after the inauguration of the Ouaga-Lomé line.

Based in the Burkinabe capital, Liz Aviation is a Burkinabe company headed by Mahamadou Bonkoungou, businessman and boss of the construction group Ebomaf.

The trip between Lomé and Niamtougou, about 500 km is set at 65,000 FCFA for the one-way trip, announces the airline.

The local authorities are looking forward to the diversification of the transport offer to this city in northern Togo. The Togolese Minister of Culture, Kossi G. Lamadokou said that he had a meeting on Monday with the General Manager of the airline Liz Aviation for the preparations for this new air connection.

After the cities of Togo, Liz Aviation has in its destination agenda capitals such as Abidjan in Ivory Coast, Dakar in Senegal and Bamako in Mali.

According to Moussa Diarra, member of the General Management of Liz Aviation, the company which starts with 2 ATR 72-600 intends to expand the fleet to 4 planes next September 2023.

"The objective is to quickly reach 8 to 10 have which is the optimal size to make a company sustainable in the sub-region", he declared at the launch of the Ouaga-Lomé line.
